Michelin meets Xero Shoes: The Scrambler Low

Following the Scrambler Mid, the Xero Shoes Scrambler Low is the second great result of the collaboration between Xero Shoes and the French tire manufacturer Michelin. Inspired by the mud-shedding lugs of high-performance mountain bike tires, we are particularly impressed by the incredible traction of the outsole of this super-lightweight barefoot hiking shoe.

The thin Michelin Fiber Lite® sole also contains an embedded textile layer that gives the sole unparalleled strength, flexibility and lightness.

The breathable, abrasion-resistant upper material, combined with a two-layer toe cap and welded sidewalls, also provides extra comfort and protection.

At first glance, you might think the Xero Shoes Scrambler Low has a thick sole, but both the Michelin Fiber Lite® sole and a thin layer of TrailFoam™ for added comfort and protection are wrapped around the upper, creating the illusion of a thicker outsole while maintaining a barefoot feel.

The thin insoles can be removed at any time for an even more barefoot feel or reinserted for more cushioning.

At just 209.8 grams per shoe (in size 37.5), the Xero Shoes Scrambler Low is a real lightweight and weighs only half as much as many other hiking shoes.

As with most barefoot shoes from Xero Shoes, a wide, foot-shaped toe box allows natural space for the toes to spread and relax. And last but not least, Xero Shoes also offers an impressive 5,000-mile sole guarantee on the patented thin yet protective outsole.
