Can I wear the sandals with socks?

Yes, perfectly normal. The name "barefoot shoe" describes the feeling of movement (wide toe box, thin flexible sole, zero drop), not the bare foot.

How much space should there be in front of the toes?

Allow 7–10 mm in addition to your foot length.

I'm wearing barefoot shoes for the first time – what do I need to look out for?

Sore muscles in your calves and the soles of your feet are normal in the first few weeks – your muscles are being challenged in a new way. Start with 30–60 minutes daily and gradually increase. If you have existing foot ailments or joint problems, talk to your doctor or orthopedist before switching.

Is the Z-Trail EV also suitable for hiking?

According to the manufacturer, it is designed as a trail and all-round sandal – day trips on forest paths and firm gravel roads are fine. For mountain tours with rough terrain, thicker soles are more suitable.

The continuous Z-strap can be adjusted at the adjustment points – once adjusted, the sandal sits without further intervention. The subtle heel cup holds the heel in place and keeps coarse dirt out. Hardware made of stainless nylon, hook-and-loop fastener at the heel.

Cleaning: Hand wash with warm water and mild soap. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.

Drying: Air dry away from direct sunlight – this protects the TrailFoam midsole and the hook-and-loop straps.
