How a student idea became a barefoot shoe shop with heart
From slippers to a matter of the heart
I'm Jonas, and my journey with barefoot shoes began in 2010 when I tried my first Leguanos as slippers . What started as an experiment quickly developed into a deep conviction: natural walking simply feels right to me.
Today, over 15 years later , I wear them every day – from everyday activities to hiking. This personal experience is the foundation of barfusswelten.de.
The way out of the lecture hall
The journey began in the middle of the pandemic. What started as a side project during my studies – driven by the conviction that good barefoot shoes need to be more readily available – quickly developed into a real mission.
In 2020, I gained my first e-commerce experience at the family business. In 2022, I took the leap into self-employment, founding barfusswelten.de .
I realized early on that I didn't want to be dependent on large online marketplaces. I wanted to create a place that stood for genuine advice and personal service – with my own shop at its heart.
