What is the Wrapt Mid Waterproof suitable for?

Whether it's a day hike in the drizzle or your daily walk through the park – the Wrapt Mid Waterproof is built for all situations where wet paths and foot-friendly design should not be a contradiction.

Ankle-high waterproof: The membrane keeps out rain and puddle water, while moisture can escape from the inside. The bellows tongue keeps dirt and pebbles out.

Grippy on wet surfaces: The Merrell Quantum Grip™ rubber sole grips on rocks, roots, and loose scree. The zero-drop construction promotes a natural footstrike.

Good entry into barefoot shoes: The slightly thicker sole protects and cushions more than typical minimalist shoes. This makes the Wrapt Mid a solid bridge for anyone taking their first steps towards natural foot movement.

Does the shoe really repel water?

The membrane seals against rain and puddles. In case of prolonged exposure to deep water, moisture can enter over the shaft.

Yes, on light to medium trails, the shoe sits firmly and grips well. It is not intended for high alpine tours with heavy loads.

How is the transition?

The thicker sole makes the transition more pleasant than with pure minimalist shoes. Nevertheless, start with shorter distances.
