What is the Doghammer Terrar Knit suitable for?

When the sun comes out, the Terrar Knit is in its element. The knitted barefoot shoe made of merino wool is your companion for spring, summer and autumn – whether in the city, in the office or when traveling.

Airy and adaptable: The open knit allows air to circulate and adapts to the foot like a second skin. Sweaty feet are a thing of the past.

Feather-light: At approx. 540 g per pair, the Knit is one of the lightest Doghammer models. You feel the ground, but hardly the shoe.

Sustainable and handmade: Manufactured in a family-run factory in Portugal with a cork insole made from recycled material and a sole made predominantly of natural rubber.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I wear socks?

Yes, with or without. The merino knit is also comfortable barefoot and dries quickly.

How much space should I have in the front?

12–17 mm in addition to the foot length. The knit stretches a bit and adapts to the foot.

Is the insole removable?

Yes, the cork insole can be removed and replaced if necessary.

Is the shoe only for summer?

It is particularly airy and therefore suitable for spring to autumn. In deep winter, it might get too cold.

Does the knit wear out over time?

No, the polyamide content ensures dimensional stability. The knit adapts, but does not stretch out.
Material & Construction
  • Upper: Knitted merino upper made of 66% wool, 33% polyamide, 1% elastane
  • Lining: Identical merino knit – the upper is also the lining
  • Sole: 80% natural rubber, 11% fillers, 9% binders – made in Portugal

The removable cork insole made of recycled cork complements the knitted upper. Cork & Wool Inside ensures a pleasantly dry foot climate.
Care & Cleaning

Cleaning: Hand wash with lukewarm water and a mild wool detergent. Do not machine wash.

Drying: Lay flat to air dry – do not hang, as the knit may lose its shape.
