What is the plus12med suitable for?

Shoe sizes are not standardized – a shoe marked size 42 often has a significantly shorter internal length. Instead of a size indication, the plus12med gives you a number in millimeters that you can work with.

Certainty before you buy: You stand on the device and read off the foot length – the 12 mm minimum clearance is already included. You then compare this value with the internal length specified for a given model.

Measuring shoes: Inside the shoe, the plus12med works like a ruler and shows the actual usable internal length. This is how you find out which of your existing shoes really fit.

One device for the whole family: The measuring range starts at approximately shoe size 18 and goes up to size 50. One device is therefore sufficient for both children's and adult feet.

Up to what shoe size can I measure with the plus12med?

The plus12med covers the range from approximately 118 mm up to shoe size 50. This allows you to measure children's feet just as easily as large adult feet.

How is the 12 mm allowance calculated?

When measuring feet, the device automatically adds 12 mm. If it displays 250 mm, the foot is 238 mm long and requires shoes with an internal length of 250 mm.

What does the "med" in the name stand for?

According to the manufacturer, the plus12med originated from projects concerning well-fitting shoes for diabetics. It remains a measuring device and does not replace medical advice.
