What is the Xero Shoes Phoenix Leather suitable for?

A flat leather shoe for days when you want to look sharp: at work, out to dinner with friends, or paired with a dress. Weighing around 170g per shoe in size 6 (US women’s), you’ll barely notice it on your feet.

Soft leather inside and out: The Phoenix is crafted from full-grain leather inside and out, feeling silky smooth against your skin. With occasional leather care, the upper will remain supple.

Room for toes, flat stance: The foot-shaped toe box gives your toes space to spread, and your heel sits at the same level as the forefoot. The 5.5 mm thin zero-drop sole provides significantly more ground feel than a classic heeled ballerina flat.

Honest in wet conditions: Full-grain leather is naturally durable, but it is not waterproof. The Phoenix Leather is not the right shoe for rainy days.

Yes, absolutely. The term "barefoot shoe" describes the movement experience (wide toe box, thin flexible sole, zero drop), not a bare foot.
