What is the Doghammer Terrar Wool suitable for?

The Terrar Wool accompanies you all year round – whether on the way to the office, for a walk in the park or on a light hike. The merino wool makes it a real all-rounder among barefoot shoes.

Comfortable foot climate at any temperature: Wool regulates moisture and temperature naturally. In summer, your feet stay dry; in winter, pleasantly warm – without sweating.

Light and flexible: At approx. 540 g per pair, you'll hardly feel the shoe. The elastic laces make putting them on easy, and the flexible sole gives you ground feel with every step.

Sustainable and handmade: Manufactured in a family-run factory in Portugal, with a cork insole made from recycled material and a sole predominantly made from natural rubber.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I wear socks?

Yes, with or without. The merino wool is also comfortable barefoot and has an odor-inhibiting effect.

How much space should I have at the front?

12–17 mm in addition to the foot length. For in-between sizes, it's better to round up.

Is the insole removable?

Yes, the thin cork insole can be removed and replaced if necessary.

Are the shoes only for winter?

No, wool regulates temperature in both directions. In summer, your feet stay comfortably dry, and in winter, the wool keeps them warm.

How robust is the wool upper material?

Wool is naturally dirt-repellent and durable. Light dirt can simply be brushed off after drying.
Material & Construction
  • Upper: Merino wool from primeval Merino sheep from Portugal (earth) or Loden from Pomeranian land sheep from Northern Germany (greyish), each with LWG leather accents
  • Inner material: Same wool as on the outside – continuously temperature-regulating
  • Sole: 80% natural rubber, 11% fillers, 9% binders – made in Portugal

The removable cork insole made from recycled cork complements the natural foot climate. Cork & Wool Inside ensures that temperature and moisture regulate themselves.
Care & Cleaning

Cleaning: Brush with a soft brush. For heavier soiling, hand wash lukewarm – do not machine wash.

Impregnation: Treat wool shoes with lanolin spray as needed to keep the fibers supple.

Drying: Air dry, do not place on the heater or in the dryer.
