What is the KOEL Ola suitable for?

The KOEL Ola is a closed Roman-style barefoot sandal for children who like to be light and natural on the go – whether on the playground, in kindergarten, or on a family outing.

All-around protection: The closed design protects little toes and feet from bumps and stumbles. At the same time, the soft nappa leather ensures a comfortable feel without pressure points.

Easy to put on and take off: Two Velcro fasteners on the instep and ankle can be easily operated by children themselves. The sandal can be completely opened for putting on – no squeezing, no struggling.

Natural walking feeling: The ultra-flexible Maria Bare sole made of natural rubber is completely flat and without a drop. This allows children's feet to feel the ground and move naturally.

Can my child wear socks with them?

Yes, the closed design allows enough room for thin socks. Going barefoot also works, of course.

How much space should there be in the front?

14–17 mm in addition to foot length (first-time walkers: 12–14 mm). Due to the closed toe box, the Ola needs sufficient room.

Are the hook-and-loop fasteners sturdy enough?

Yes, the two hook-and-loop straps on the instep and ankle hold the foot securely and can be easily opened and closed even by children.

Can my child wear them to the playground?

Yes, the closed toe box protects the toes while playing. The flexible natural rubber sole provides good grip on various surfaces.

Care & Cleaning

Cleaning: Remove coarse dirt with a soft brush. If necessary, wipe with a slightly damp cloth.

Waterproofing: Before first wear and regularly thereafter, waterproof with a suitable leather spray.

Drying: Allow wet sandals to dry at room temperature – do not place them on a heater or in direct sunlight.
