What is the Leguano Kosmo suitable for?

The Leguano Kosmo is a lined barefoot lace-up boot for autumn and winter. Whether it's a stroll through the city, a dog walk, or your daily commute – it keeps your feet warm while still allowing for a natural roll-off.

Warm through winter: The fluffy polyester lining insulates against cold, while the water-repellent upper keeps out moisture. After waterproofing, it reliably handles rainy days too.

Barefoot feeling with every step: The 7.5 mm thin LIFOLIT®-lg sole with a nub profile gives you noticeable ground contact and activates your foot muscles – even on snow and ice.

Goes with everything: The simple design makes the Kosmo an all-rounder that pairs just as well with jeans as with outdoor trousers. Thanks to the lacing, it sits securely on the foot without constricting.

Can I wear socks?

Yes, wearable with or without socks.

How much space should I have at the front?

12–17 mm in addition to your foot length. If you're between sizes, round up.

Do the shoes keep warm in winter?

The polyester lining provides good warmth. Due to the thin sole, you will feel the ground – for extreme cold, Merino insoles are recommended as an addition.

Can I waterproof the Kosmo?

Yes, the upper material can be waterproofed well. Re-waterproof before first wear and regularly thereafter.

Are the shoes washable?

Yes, at 30 °C on a gentle cycle with mild detergent in a laundry bag.

Upper material: 100% polyamide – water-repellent and breathable
Inner material: 100% polyester – soft, warm lining
Sole: LIFOLIT®-lg – the flexible leguano studded sole

The collar is made of 100% polyester. The LIFOLIT®-lg sole is made exclusively for leguano and combines high flexibility with good abrasion resistance. The studded profile provides sensory feedback and a secure grip on smooth surfaces.

Care & Cleaning

Cleaning: Wash at 30 °C in a laundry net (delicate cycle). Use a mild detergent, no fabric softener and no powder. Clean shoelaces separately by hand.

Impregnation: Impregnate before first wear and refresh regularly, as the effect diminishes over time.

Drying: Air dry, do not tumble dry. Wash separately or with similar colors.
