What is the Leguano Thermo suitable for?

The Leguano Thermo is a barefoot ankle boot for anyone who doesn't want to forgo natural foot movement, even in the cold season. Whether it's a walk, a stroll through the city, or walking the dog – just slip them on and you're ready to go.

Warm feet without a thick sole: The soft wool plush lining and the virgin wool insole keep your feet warm without restricting movement. You still feel the ground beneath your feet.

Wind and moisture protection: The neoprene upper material repels light rain and wind. The protection is sufficient for short walks through puddles or light snow.

No laces, no Velcro: The Thermo is a slip-on shoe. You're dressed in seconds, and the shoe still fits securely on your foot.

Can I wear socks?

Yes, with or without. Thin socks are sufficient – the wool lining already provides good warmth.

How much space should I have in the front?

12–17 mm in addition to your foot length.

Will the shoe stay dry in the rain?

The neoprene upper is water-repellent and protects against light rain and snow. In heavy, continuous rain, moisture may penetrate.

Can the Thermo be worn in positive temperatures?

You'll feel most comfortable at temperatures up to approx. 8 °C. Above that, the lining can make it warm.

How does the shoe fit?

True to size. If you're between two sizes, take the larger one.
Material & Construction
  • Upper material: 82% polyamide with neoprene, 18% elastomer – water-repellent and windproof
  • Lining: 100% polyester plush, warming and soft
  • Insole: 80% virgin wool (mulesing-free), 20% polyester
  • Sole: LIFOLIT®-lg – the flexible Leguano sole with a hemispherical profile for grip and ground feel

The neoprene upper material protects against wind and light moisture. The wool plush insole ensures a comfortable foot climate even in cooler temperatures.
Care & Cleaning

Cleaning: Wash at 30 °C in a laundry net (wool wash cycle or hand wash). Use wool detergent, no fabric softener or powder.

Drying: Air dry. Do not tumble dry.
