What is the Xero Shoes D-Trail Women's suitable for?

Designed for the transition between city and nature – warm days in the office, walks on forest paths, light hikes in low mountain ranges. The women's version features a narrower last and finer size grading.

Soft on the skin: The inside of the three straps is lined with microfiber. When worn without socks, the feeling on the ankle, midfoot, and in front of the toes remains soft. The velcro fasteners hold without pressure points.

Room for toes, free movement: Without a toe post, your toes can spread unhindered. The zero-drop sole and the 11 mm stack construction let you feel the ground – a barefoot shoe concept that works on asphalt, gravel, and firm forest floor.

Can I wear the sandal with socks?

Yes, perfectly normal. The name “barefoot shoe” describes the feeling of movement (wide toe box, thin flexible sole, zero drop), not the bare foot.

How much space should there be in front of the toes?

Plan 7–10 mm in addition to your foot length.

I’m wearing barefoot shoes for the first time – what should I look out for?

Muscle soreness in your calves and soles is normal in the first few weeks – your muscles are being challenged in new ways. Start with 30–60 minutes daily and gradually increase. If you have existing foot complaints or joint problems, speak to your doctor or orthopedist before making the switch.

Is the D-Trail waterproof?

The open design allows water to pass through – this is intentional. The material and hook-and-loop fasteners air-dry. Waterproofing is not necessary.

Impregnation:Not required – the materials are naturally quick-drying.

Drying:Allow to air dry, avoiding direct sunlight and heat sources.
