Description

What is the Xero Shoes Denver Leather Lined suitable for?

The Denver Leather Lined is suitable for cold, damp days – for city paths in November, solid dirt tracks, and evenings when it gets dark early. A leather boot that looks like a classic lace-up boot and feels like a barefoot shoe.

Leather outside, leather inside: The water-repellent nubuck leather keeps moisture out, while the leather lining feels comfortable against the foot. Full-grain leather is durable, but not waterproof – it reaches its limits in prolonged rain.

Adaptable to temperature: The heat-reflecting insole stays in when it's cold and comes out on milder days. Then the foot sits even flatter and you feel more of the ground.

Grip on wet autumn leaves: The lugs of the rubber sole provide grip on forest paths and firm farm tracks. On wet stone and roots, however, the rule remains: walk slowly.

In the package: 1 pair of Xero Shoes Denver Leather Lined, packed in our plastic-free packaging.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I wear socks with these shoes?

Yes, absolutely. The term “barefoot shoe” refers to the feeling of movement (wide toe box, thin flexible sole, zero drop), not to the naked foot.

How much space should there be in the front of the shoe?

Allow for 12–17 mm in addition to your foot length.

Is the insole removable in this shoe?

Yes, the insole can be removed – according to the manufacturer, it is also intended for milder days and a more direct barefoot feel.

I am wearing barefoot shoes for the first time – what should I look out for?

Soreness in your calves and the soles of your feet is normal in the first few weeks as your muscles are being challenged in a new way. Start with 30–60 minutes a day and increase gradually. If you have existing foot issues or joint problems, consult your doctor or orthopedist before switching.

Can I wear the boots in the rain?

In light rain, yes, the nubuck leather is water-repellent. It is not waterproof – for permanently wet conditions, a model with a membrane is more suitable.
