Description

What is the Xero Shoes Glenn suitable for?

A low-cut shoe for dress-code occasions: client meetings, weddings, dinner. On the outside, a classic Oxford; on the inside, a barefoot shoe with a wide toe box and flat sole.

Leather that moves with you: The full-grain nubuck leather conforms to your foot as you wear it and features a water-repellent finish. Splashes and light drizzle bead off – the Glenn cannot withstand sustained wet conditions; it is not waterproof.

Elegant look, thin construction: An 8.5 mm stack height with zero drop keeps you much closer to the ground than a classic business shoe. The sole is cupped around the upper, making it appear thicker than it actually is.

Space in the front, no pressure on the toes: The foot-shaped forefoot gives your toes room to splay. This makes the Glenn a barefoot shoe for wide feet that also pairs well with a business outfit.

In the box: 1 pair of Xero Shoes Glenn, packaged in our plastic-free packaging.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I wear socks with these shoes?

Yes, absolutely. The term "barefoot shoe" refers to the sensation of movement (wide toe box, thin flexible sole, zero heel), not to a bare foot.

How much space should there be in the front of the shoe?

Plan for 12–17 mm in addition to your foot length.

Is the insole removable in this shoe?

Yes, the insole can be removed.

I am wearing barefoot shoes for the first time – what should I look out for?

Sore muscles in the calves and soles of the feet are normal in the first few weeks – your muscles are being challenged in new ways. Start with 30–60 minutes daily and increase gradually. If you have existing foot ailments or joint problems, consult your doctor or orthopedist before switching.

Is the Glenn waterproof?

No. The full-grain leather is water-repellent, but not waterproof. A model with a membrane is better suited for consistently wet conditions.
