Description

What is the Women's Mesa Trail WP suitable for?

Wet grass in the morning, drizzle in the afternoon: Designed for those who still want to get out in this weather—on hiking trails, forest floors, and gravel. At around 227g per shoe, it is a lightweight barefoot hiking shoe.

Grip on terrain: The dual-chevron tread pattern provides hold on forest floors, gravel, and firm hiking trails. This is sufficient for day hikes in low mountain ranges; however, as with any rubber sole, caution is advised on wet rock and roots.

Water stays out: A seam-sealed inner bootie with a waterproof lining and a gusseted tongue keep moisture and debris at bay.

Robust at the edges: The toe cap and welded sidewalls stand up to whatever you might bump into on the trail. A note on sizing: The shoe runs small, so please order a half size larger than usual.

In the package: 1 pair of Xero Shoes Mesa Trail WP, packed in our plastic-free packaging.

Legal guarantee
EU notice: Minimum two-year legal guarantee protection for goods sold in the European Union.
Frequently Asked Questions

Can I wear socks with these shoes?

Yes, absolutely. The term "barefoot shoe" describes the sensation of movement (wide toe box, thin flexible sole, zero drop), not a bare foot.

How much space should there be in the front of the shoe?

Plan for 12–17 mm of extra space in addition to your foot length.

Is the insole in this shoe removable?

Yes, the insole can be removed.

This is my first time wearing barefoot shoes – what should I look out for?

Soreness in your calves and the soles of your feet is normal during the first few weeks – your muscles are being challenged in new ways. Start with 30–60 minutes per day and increase gradually. If you have any existing foot or joint issues, consult your doctor or orthopedist before making the switch.

Will my feet stay dry in heavy rain?

This is ensured by a seam-sealed inner bootie, a waterproof lining, and a gusseted tongue. If water runs into the shoe from the top, the membrane will no longer be effective.
