Description

What is the Xero Shoes Scrambler Low suitable for?

Designed for fast hikes and casual trail runs, the Scrambler Low is a shoe for anyone who wants as little as possible between their foot and the ground. Weighing 263.7 g per shoe, it weighs less than many hiking sandals.

Grip on varying terrain: The outsole is the result of a collaboration with Michelin, with a lug profile inspired by mountain bike tires. It provides reliable grip on forest floors, gravel, and marked hiking trails. As with any rubber sole, caution is advised on wet rock and roots.

Customizable fit: In addition to the laces, straps over the instep and midfoot can be adjusted individually. This keeps the foot in place, even when going downhill.

Room where your toes need it: The foot-shaped forefoot area allows your toes to splay. A 10 mm stack height with zero drop provides more feedback than a classic hiking shoe – a lightweight, zero-drop trail shoe as sought after by hikers with wide feet.

In the package: 1 pair of Xero Shoes Scrambler Low, packed in our plastic-free packaging.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I wear socks with these shoes?

Yes, absolutely. The term “barefoot shoe” refers to the feeling of movement (wide toe box, thin flexible sole, zero drop), not to the bare foot.

How much space should there be in the front of the shoe?

Allow for 12–17 mm of extra space in addition to your foot length.

Is the insole of this shoe removable?

Yes, the insole can be removed. Without it, the stack height is 3.5 mm thinner.

I am wearing barefoot shoes for the first time – what should I look out for?

Soreness in your calves and the soles of your feet is normal in the first few weeks – your muscles are being challenged in new ways. Start with 30–60 minutes per day and increase gradually. If you have any existing foot or joint issues, consult your doctor or orthopedist before making the switch.

Is the shoe waterproof?

No, the breathable upper material allows water to pass through. A model with a membrane is better suited for wet trips.
