Description

What is the Xero Shoes Scrambler Low suitable for?

The Scrambler Low is a trail shoe for day hikes in low mountain ranges and for easy runs away from the pavement. At 209.8 g per shoe, it weighs less than many hiking sandals.

Room for your toes: The foot-shaped forefoot area gives your toes space to spread out. If you are looking for a lightweight trail shoe with a zero drop for wide feet, this offers 10 mm of stack height without any heel elevation.

Grip on uneven paths: The lug pattern of the Michelin outsole is modeled after mountain bike tires and provides traction on forest floors, gravel, and marked hiking trails. Wet rock and roots still require caution, as is the case with any rubber sole.

The foot stays secure: In addition to the lacing, straps over the instep and midfoot can be adjusted individually – helpful on longer descents.

In the package: 1 pair of Xero Shoes Scrambler Low, packed in our plastic-free packaging.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I wear socks with these shoes?

Yes, absolutely. The term "barefoot shoe" refers to the sensation of movement (wide toe box, thin flexible sole, zero drop), not to the bare foot itself.

How much space should there be in the front of the shoe?

Allow for 12–17 mm of extra room beyond your foot length.

Is the insole removable in this shoe?

Yes, the insole can be removed. Without it, the shoe profile is 3.5 mm thinner.

This is my first time wearing barefoot shoes – what should I keep in mind?

Soreness in your calves and the soles of your feet is normal during the first few weeks as your muscles are being challenged in new ways. Start with 30–60 minutes a day and increase gradually. If you have existing foot complaints or joint problems, talk to your doctor or orthopedist before making the switch.

Is the shoe waterproof in the rain and on wet paths?

No, the upper material is designed for breathability and will absorb water. If you are out in wet conditions often, it is better to choose a model with a membrane.
