Description

What is the Xero Shoes Scrambler Mid suitable for?

If you're out on marked trails and in low mountain ranges, this hiking boot weighs in at around 266 g per shoe. You'll notice the weight above all when the trail ends up being longer than planned.

Toes have room to splay: The foot-shaped forefoot area gives your toes room instead of compressing them. Together with the zero-drop heel, you stand flat on the ground — a barefoot hiking shoe that lets feedback through instead of cushioning it away.

Grip on forest floors and gravel: The Michelin Fiber Lite® sole features lugs modeled after mountain bike tires. Stuck mud falls off as you walk. Even so, the same rule applies to wet rock and roots as it does for any rubber sole: step carefully.

Reinforced at contact points: Welded sidewalls and a double-layered toe cap withstand contact with stones; there is a hook for gaiters on the shaft. The mesh upper is breathable — it is not waterproof.

In the package: 1 pair of Xero Shoes Scrambler Mid, packed in our plastic-free packaging.

Legal guarantee
EU notice: Minimum two-year legal guarantee protection for goods sold in the European Union.
Frequently Asked Questions

Can I wear socks with these shoes?

Yes, absolutely. The term "barefoot shoe" refers to the sensation of movement (wide toe box, thin flexible sole, zero drop), not the naked foot.

How much space should there be in the front of the shoe?

Plan for an extra 12–17 mm in addition to your foot length.

Is the insole of this shoe removable?

Yes, the insole can be removed.

I am wearing barefoot shoes for the first time – what should I look out for?

Soreness in the calves and soles of the feet is normal in the first few weeks – your muscles are being challenged in a new way. Start with 30–60 minutes a day and increase gradually. If you have existing foot ailments or joint problems, consult your doctor or orthopedist before switching.

Will my feet stay dry in the rain?

No, the boot has no membrane and the mesh lets water through. A waterproof model is better suited for wet outings.
