Description

What is the Scrambler Trail Mid WP suitable for?

A mid-height hiking boot for day trips in low mountain ranges, on forest paths and logging roads in rain and mud. At 328.9 g per shoe, it weighs significantly less than its appearance would suggest.

Dry feet in wet conditions: The waterproof membrane keeps water out, while the gusseted tongue keeps moisture and dirt from entering the sides. The moisture-wicking lining prevents sweat from getting trapped inside.

Grip on loose terrain: The outsole is designed with deep lugs and provides traction on forest floors, gravel, and packed trails. The mid-height shaft protects the ankle on longer or more technical hiking trails.

Barefoot feel despite being a hiking boot: The wide, foot-shaped toe box allows your toes to splay, and the zero-drop sole keeps your foot flat on the ground. A barefoot hiking shoe that remains thin and flexible instead of disconnecting you from the ground.

In the package: 1 pair of Xero Shoes Scrambler Trail Mid WP, packed in our plastic-free packaging.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I wear socks with these shoes?

Yes, absolutely. The term "barefoot shoe" refers to the sensation of movement (wide toe box, thin flexible sole, zero drop), not to the bare foot itself.

How much space should there be in the front of the shoe?

Plan for 12–17 mm in addition to your foot length.

Is the insole of this shoe removable?

Yes, the insole can be removed.

I am wearing barefoot shoes for the first time – what should I look out for?

Soreness in the calves and soles of the feet is normal in the first few weeks – your muscles are being challenged in new ways. Start with 30–60 minutes daily and increase gradually. If you have existing foot or joint problems, consult your doctor or orthopedist before switching.

Do feet sweat in a waterproof shoe?

According to the manufacturer, the moisture-wicking inner lining does not trap sweat. On very warm days, a model without a membrane will still be more breathable.
