What is the Xcursion Fusion Men suitable for?

You're looking for a lightweight barefoot hiking boot that gives you a true ground feel on trails and paths - and still offers protection from wetness and sharp edges. The Xcursion Fusion is Xero's minimalist answer to classic hiking boots.

Dry feet on wet trails: Behind the mesh upper sits a water-repellent membrane, the seams of the inner shoe are sealed, and the tongue is sewn in up to the first hook. Rain and shallow puddles stay out - the shoe is not designed for hours of wading.

Grip on trails and rocks: The 10 mm FeelTrue® rubber sole with 3.5 mm Dual-Chevron lugs grips on hard, soft, and alpine terrain. The embedded TrailFoam™ midsole provides light cushioning without compromising the barefoot feel.

Light on the foot, robustly built: At 388 g per shoe (size 42), the boot feels significantly lighter than classic hiking boots. The reinforced toe cap still protects against impacts from roots and stones.

Note on residual stock: The Xcursion Fusion was originally advertised as waterproof. Since this stock has been stored for a longer period, we are only declaring it as water-repellent as a precaution - the construction with membrane, sealed seams, and sewn-in tongue remains unchanged, but we can no longer generally guarantee waterproofing after extended storage.
